Smith Park Campground Basic Rules
1. Check in is at 12:00pm and check out is at 11:00am.
2. All campers must register upon arrival.
3. All visitors must leave by 10:00pm.
4. The Park office has for purchase: boat launch pass, firewood, ice, concession and electric adapters (30amp to 15amp).
5. One tent or camper per site unless manager approves more than one. No more than 6 persons per site. No youth camping (under 21) without adult supervision.
6. Quiet time after is from 10:00pm to 9:00am. No loud noise or music during that time.
7. There is a maximum of three pets per site. All pets must be current on required shots. Pets must be leashed at all times. You must clean up after your pet. Pets may not be left unattended at any time. You are completely responsible if your pet bites someone. Pets must not be a disturbance to other campers.
8. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at the bathing beach or boat launch.
9. All fires must be kept within the fire ring. Fire rings must be left in the original location. No large bonfires. Fires must always be put out prior to leaving your site (no unattended campfires at ANY time).
10. All garbage must be in can and out by the number post for the campsite by 12:00pm for pickup. Staff will not walk onto an occupied site to retrieve garbage. ONLY kitchen garbage is allowed. No hazardous waste, junk or building materials.
11. Generators are allowed to be operated from 10:00am to 7:00pm. No spotlights allowed at any time.
12. Bicycle riding is permitted only until dusk. Helmets must be worn at all times when riding a bike.
13. Alcohol beverages are permitted in moderation at campsites and upper pavilion only. Alcohol consumed or possessed by a minor is not permitted. There is NO ALCOHOL permitted at the bathing beach or the boat launch.
14. No fireworks allowed in the park at any time.
15. No firewood can be brought into the park from outside Chemung, Schuyler and Tompkins County. Firewood is for sale at the park office by the bundle.
16. All campers and their visitors are expected to conduct themselves in a respectable manner. Loud parties, rowdiness, rude and immoral conduct, etc. will not be tolerated and will result in immediate expulsion without a refund.
